(FXD, FXDB, FXDC, FXDL, XL1200L, XL1200R, XL50, XL883, XL883L, XL883R)
Number potentially involved: 614
Component: Tires
NHTSA Recall Number:
07V025000
Summary:

Remedy: Dealers will inspect the front tire and replace if necessary.

Models: 2007 Sportster (XL1200 and XL883 Models)
Number potentially involved: 18,758
Component: Voltage Regulator
NHTSA Recall Number:
06V476000
Summary:
As a result of greater body thickness than in previous model years, the voltage regulator may contact the front fender under certain conditions. In some cases, this may allow the front fender to catch on the top side of the regulator body, which could impede the operator's ability to steer the vehicle. This could result in a crash that could cause injury or death to the rider.
Remedy: Dealers will intall an intermediate mounting bracket that relocates the voltage regulator to a position that provides more clearance from the fender. Owners not receiving this free remedies should contact Harley-Davidson at 414-343-4056.

Models: 2005-2007 Dyna Wide Glide (FXDWG)
Number potentially involved: 10,397
Component: Handlebar Wiring
NHTSA Recall Number: 06V474000
Summary: The internally wired handlebars have a potential to crack at the hole where the wires exit the bars between the handlebar clamps. Should these cracks progress to the point of breaking the handlebar into two pieces a loss of control could result, increasing the risk of a crash that could cause injury or death to the rider.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the handlebar with one that has both a greater wall thickness and a wire-exit hole with a shape that reduces stress concentration.
